Although the holidays are over, Winter is still the best time to cozy up with your family and make memories. Here in the Southwest, it’s the best season to enjoy the outdoors and creating a space to enjoy the weather and spend time with loved ones is my favorite. Here are a few ways to make a cozy outdoor entertaining space this season.

Cozying up by the fire is always nice, but when each guest has their own blanket it makes it a little extra special. Look for blankets on sale and buy a bunch of them so you can pass them out at your next party to make everyone feel pampered with a personal blanket.

Ambient lighting always makes a space feel a bit cozier. Consider layering your lighting with café lights and candles. Sharing memories and chatting with your friends by candlelight instantly makes any get-together that much more magical.

If you fancy a glass of wine to get cozy with or maybe a cup of cocoa, having a designated space to serve all your guests their favorite drinks is essential for the perfect get-together. This adorable styled beverage cart is perfect to serve your guests as everyone has a different preference.

Fresh floral arrangements will always elevate your entertaining space – having your get together outside is no exception. In the Southwest, citrus is currently in season and I don’t think there’s a more perfect way to add a pop of color to your tablescape than with citrus. When you pair the citrus with your floral arrangement, it elevates the sophistication of your space and gives your guest something beautiful to look at all night.

A great way to facilitate a cozy dining experience is to make everything a touch more casual and take your seating to the ground. Sitting on the floor on a bunch of fluffy pillows and making the ambiance a little more casual is always a great way to dine with friends. Sitting outdoors on the floor encourages your friends to sit comfortably and to enjoy themselves, perhaps even encouraging them to let loose a little.
