Fall is almost over and before we say goodbye to the autumn magic, I’m curious to know — what did you do to make this season memorable?
Was it harvesting or land tending? Spending the brightest days in the farmhouse? Or perhaps, you retreated to a wood cabin to find peace among majestic redwoods and maroon leaves, the quiet wind howling outside whilst you slurped a fifth cup of hot marshmallow-cocoa, basking in the warmth of the fluffiest blanket near the fireplace in the company of a heartwarming romance? Doesn’t that sound like heaven?
If you found yourself stuck inside this fall, I get it and I am also here to give you some new ideas to get you out into nature before the frigid temperatures and snow move in. Finish out fall with these five fun fall adventures to get outdoors. Having tested out all of these adventures myself, I have one thing to say: it’s all about having fun and creating memories.Continue Reading
In case you missed the big announcement last week, I have joined the BookSparks Fall Adventure and Reading Challenge (#FRC2018) as the Celebrity Guest. I’m excited to share this campaign with you as I join BookSparks and several lifestyle influencers – and hopefully all of you – as we celebrate JOMO (the JOY of Missing Out) this Fall and Winter. Forget FOMO (the fear of missing out that we all experience when tied to our social media). JOMO is all about putting your phone down and picking up a great book, or inviting your friends over for dinner, or getting outside and taking an adventure with your kids or your partner. Just being outside, enjoying the heavenly days we’re given and being present. As you know, that is what I’m all about.
For the rest of Fall and Winter, we’ll be reading great books, taking adventures and learning how to experience JOMO. I’ll also have several of the influencers as guests here on Those Heavenly Days sharing great content and ideas. But first: a giveaway!Continue Reading
The Kelley clan has been really living it up exploring our adopted city of Toronto. We relish our quiet existence in Utah but have been loving the change of scenery and the opportunity to experience city living. Before kids I rarely ever got out and explored the locations my work took me to. I am so grateful my little ones have forced me off the couch and out to adventure. The first stop on our Toronto tour was Evergreen Brick Works. We hit it up kinda late on a Friday so most everything was closed for the evening but we loved the beauty, serenity and all the awesome, even though we couldn’t use them, features of the park. We plan to hit it back up for the Saturday Farmers Market soon and Josh and I are dying for an adults only date night at the beautiful farm to table Cafe Belong.Continue Reading
In the last couple of years I have made a conscious effort to find ways of connecting with myself, the heavens, and the universe around me, so that I might be more present in my life. Things got a little crazy there for a minute with all the giant life decisions I was making and the day to day responsibilities that were piling up. Like getting married, starting a family, building a home and the ups and downs of a career I’ve been building since I was eight years old.Continue Reading
