Enter Spring!

Katherine Heigl - Front Entrance To Home
It has been a long cold, snowy winter in Utah this year. It was glorious, all that snow, during the holidays. A magical winter wonderland throughout January, and a skiers dream come true throughout March. Now that we’ve officially made it to May it’s become a bit of a drag! Yes we are still getting snow and when it’s not snow it’s rain and when it’s not rain it’s mud. I can not begin to tell you how excited I am for the weather to finally lighten up and bring with it the warm grass scented breezes of spring. Growing up my mother created a tradition of omelets for dinner. I’m sure it was to give herself a night off from the more complicated gourmet dinners she usually made, though the omelets tasted pretty damn gourmet too. One for my bedroom where I can wake up to it’s glory every morning and one in a common room for every one to enjoy. There’s just something about flowers that brings a room to life with color, beauty and a certain kind of serenity I’ve only ever found in nature. Continue Reading

Rest Assured Indeed!

I first heard about the Owlet from a casual Pinterest search of baby nurseries I was indulging in long before Joshua Jr was even a thought in the Universe. I knew I wanted to expand our family and have more children I just didn’t know how or when that would happen; but, the not knowing didn’t stop me from planning and dreaming. Hence my search for nursery ideas and inspiration that took me to finding out all about the Owlet. My first thought was that I wished we had one when Adalaide was just a 4 pound 11 ounce newborn who we woke up every five seconds to check on when we first brought her home. We were so terrified of how small and new she was. Truly petrified that every pause in her tiny snuffles and grunts meant that she was not breathing. Continue Reading
