My Favorite Baby Clothes

At my baby shower my mother gifted me a ton of adorable baby clothes from a brand I had never heard of. There were snuggly jammies, simple and classic onesies, and little skull caps to match. When Joshua Jr started to grow out of the newborn sizes I headed to their website and ordered up duplicate sets of all my favorite pieces in each size. That’s how much I LOVE these clothes! The line is from the company Little Me and they have a whole lot more than jammies, onesies and skull caps. I adore their simple and sweet line and can’t get enough of their animal themed footies and tiny gentleman like summer outfits.

Now that summer is quickly coming to an end they’ve got a whole bunch of new fall and winter looks to choose from. It’s gonna be an adorably stylish September for little man!Continue Reading

DIY Cleaning Supplies

About six years ago I happened upon a DIY counter spray on Pinterest that sparked my curiosity. The idea of creating my own cleaning products tailored to my specific needs and scent preferences that would also be non toxic and kid/environment safe seemed kinda awesome. But would they really work? Would they take too much time to make? Would they last me long enough or would I be making new batches every week?

Well, after that first batch of counter spray I became a DIY cleaning product believer and have never looked back. I even went as far as to make my own liquid and powdered laundry detergents, dishwasher detergent and even explored DIY body products making my own deodorant and body cream. I’ve since given up the homemade deodorant and body cream but I’ve continued to make my counter spray, glass cleaner and laundry detergent with great success! So if I’ve sparked your curiosity and you wanna try your hand at making your own cleaning products here my favorite recipes and scent combinations! Hopefully they’ll work just as great for you and give you the same peace of mind they did me!Continue Reading

Making The Cut: My Raised Bed Gardens

Raised flower beds
My mother and I recently added four raised beds to Badlands Ranch. We put them right in front of the chicken coop where our old, lackluster cutting garden had been the year before. We didn’t have much success with last years garden and are hoping this year the raised beds will not only be beautiful to look at but will supply us with an abundance of arrangement worthy flowers.Continue Reading

Enter Spring!

Katherine Heigl - Front Entrance To Home
It has been a long cold, snowy winter in Utah this year. It was glorious, all that snow, during the holidays. A magical winter wonderland throughout January, and a skiers dream come true throughout March. Now that we’ve officially made it to May it’s become a bit of a drag! Yes we are still getting snow and when it’s not snow it’s rain and when it’s not rain it’s mud. I can not begin to tell you how excited I am for the weather to finally lighten up and bring with it the warm grass scented breezes of spring. In anticipation of those sunny days, that are surely on their way, I decided to take the Christmas wreath off my front door ( yeah I realize how late it is), pack up the plaid lap blanket and wintery throw pillows from the front porch chair; and do a bit of spring decorating. Maybe if I officially say adieu to winter the weather will follow suit! Continue Reading
