Enter Spring!

Katherine Heigl - Front Entrance To Home
It has been a long cold, snowy winter in Utah this year. It was glorious, all that snow, during the holidays. A magical winter wonderland throughout January, and a skiers dream come true throughout March. Now that we’ve officially made it to May it’s become a bit of a drag! Yes we are still getting snow and when it’s not snow it’s rain and when it’s not rain it’s mud. I can not begin to tell you how excited I am for the weather to finally lighten up and bring with it the warm grass scented breezes of spring. In anticipation of those sunny days, that are surely on their way, I decided to take the Christmas wreath off my front door ( yeah I realize how late it is), pack up the plaid lap blanket and wintery throw pillows from the front porch chair; and do a bit of spring decorating. Delivery Day Essentials!

As my delivery day approached I started obsessing over what to bring with me for my two day hospital stay. I have never ever had to be hospitalized (thank heavens) and really had no idea what to expect. Making sure I had everything I’d need to be as comfortable as possible.Continue Reading

Baby Boy Kelley!

My mother very graciously threw Josh and I the most beautiful and celebratory baby shower last weekend and I just had to share the details with you! She asked me for some direction on the decor and the vibe I was hoping for, so I headed straight to Pinterest to cultivate a look for the shower that spoke to not only the holidays, but also our mountain home in Utah where the baby will be born. I loved that my mom involved me and that I got to contribute my ideas. I’m kind of a control freak on occasion…ok more often than not, so getting to have a voice when it came to the shower was pretty awesome for me!Continue Reading

Blue Moon Alpaca Farm

Being the avid knitter and yarn collector that I am, I was thrilled to discover that there is an alpaca farm only a few miles away from where I live. I’ve always wanted to own a few alpacas and spin my own yarn; and, by always I mean for like the last year. I was dying to go check out Blue Moon Ranch and get the low down on alpaca raising, shearing and yarn spinning.Continue Reading
