July 4th Weekend

July 4th has always been a big holiday in my family. We gather, we eat, we celebrate and we revel in the sweetness of summer and all that it entails. Up in Utah July 4th marks the true, we don’t have to worry about frost or waking up to a late spring snowstorm, start of summer. Big Blind, Little Blind

When we built our barn we included a viewing room that has a full kitchen, dining table, sitting area, fireplace and bar. The idea was that we could host all kinds of events with the horses in their stalls right across the aisle. Next week when we’re knee deep in the cold stuff it will be hard to think about tulips, Easter egg hunts, and fresh spring salads. So today I plan, next week I surrender!Continue Reading

Sweet Circle Skirt

It was one of my first sewing projects and was not only easy to make, but totally adorable with a simple tee shirt or cardigan! When and if she finally grows out of it, it will be handed down to her sister to wear for the next four years to come!Continue Reading
