Everything Under The Sun For Summer

Adalaide, Naleigh and Katherine Heigl on the beach in swimwear
I became aware of Poppys Collection after purchasing this totally adorable and durable sweat suit for Little Man from a pop up in my local promenade here in Toronto. The lady helping me in the pop up encouraged me to check out their website for more fabulous kid finds and once I did, I fell totally and completely in love with their curated list of wonderfulness. So I asked if they’d be willing to be a guest editor this month and share some wonderfulness with all of you! I just love the uniqueness of the collection and that everything is lovingly crafted by true artisans (you should all know how I feel about artisans by now!) It brings me so much joy to support small businesses, especially ones run by moms.  On top of all the good feels, I’m also getting handcrafted, unique and beautiful products to spoil my kiddos with. It’s truly a win/win.Continue Reading

Home Office Space

While in Toronto I’ve had to figure a few things out in our temporary home to better support my family’s needs. Like adding a little girlie flare to the guest room that became my girls room once they arrived. Speaking of, once the kids descended I was forced to find and create a quite spot for myself where I could get some work done. Hence, the lovely and peaceful home office space I cobbled together. I borrowed a few pieces of furniture I found around our rented condo and purchases a couple of pretty accents from local shops. I’m pretty pleased with how the space turned out and have found it to be a perfect spot for working on the blog, writing, reading and generally getting inspired. I thought I’d share it with any of you work from home mamas out there in need of a little home office beautifying ideas. XOXO, KTContinue Reading

Toronto Adventures: Evergreen Brick Works

Toronto Adventures: Evergreen Brick Works
The Kelley clan has been really living it up exploring our adopted city of Toronto. We relish our quiet existence in Utah but have been loving the change of scenery and the opportunity to experience city living. Before kids I rarely ever got out and explored the locations my work took me to. I am so grateful my little ones have forced me off the couch and out to adventure. The first stop on our Toronto tour was Evergreen Brick Works. We hit it up kinda late on a Friday so most everything was closed for the evening but we loved the beauty, serenity and all the awesome, even though we couldn’t use them, features of the park. We plan to hit it back up for the Saturday Farmers Market soon and Josh and I are dying for an adults only date night at the beautiful farm to table Cafe Belong.Continue Reading

Pantry Must Haves For Quick Painless Dinners

Katherine Heigl With Pantry Must Haves
I am currently on a time management kick, new year, new me and all, and I have found that having a handful of go to painless dinner options in my repertoire has saved me a tremendous amount of time lately. I keep an incredibly well stocked pantry, mostly because I keep forgetting to inventory what I have and continue to buy duplicates of things because I’m…well…kind of scattered. So I have cans upon cans of every kind of bean, tomatoes, olive, caper and fish (that can be canned that is.) I have boxes upon boxes of pasta, flour, sugar, breadcrumbs, oats, grain, baking soda…well, you get the idea. One night recently the chicken I needed for the night’s dinner had not defrosted in time to start prepping and I had only an hour till my children rioted and burned the house down in a hungry rage.
