Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Last summer my mother gifted us an outdoor television. It was incredibly generous of her and felt very extravagant. Our good friend Jeremy, who just happens to be an AV guy, mounted it on a moveable stand so that we could wheel the T.V down to the pool for truly indulgent summer days. Though the thought was there, we never actually followed through and hadn’t used the T.V once. We moved it inside during the winter months where it sat idly by waiting for it’s day in the sun. When the weather finally turned sunny and warm I decided to put our gift to good use and arranged our first ever outdoor family and friends movie night.Continue Reading

July 4th Weekend

July 4th has always been a big holiday in my family. We gather, we eat, we celebrate and we revel in the sweetness of summer and all that it entails. Up in Utah July 4th marks the true, we don’t have to worry about frost or waking up to a late spring snowstorm, start of summer. I finally decided this weekend was the perfect time to break in our poker chips and do a little friendly gambling at Badlands.Continue Reading

Tulips At Easter

The forecast is already predicting snow and lots of it over the next couple of weeks so I will savor these warm golden days now and use them as inspiration to start planning our Easter celebration. Next week when we’re knee deep in the cold stuff it will be hard to think about tulips, Easter egg hunts, and fresh spring salads. So today I plan, next week I surrender!Continue Reading
