Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Last summer my mother gifted us an outdoor television. It was incredibly generous of her and felt very extravagant. Our good friend Jeremy, who just happens to be an AV guy, mounted it on a moveable stand so that we could wheel the T.V down to the pool for truly indulgent summer days. Though the thought was there, we never actually followed through and hadn’t used the T.V once. We moved it inside during the winter months where it sat idly by waiting for it’s day in the sun. Cheeseburger Casserole Reboot

I’m a huge fan of Gina Homolka and her blog Skinnytaste. My mother bought me her cookbook a while ago and it’s been an absolute lifesaver. She has so many wonderful family dinner recipes that taste amazing but cut back on the calories and fat. As a working actress I’ve always had to be mindful of my weight and staying trim but now that I’m pregnant, it’s become even more important to me to eat healthy nutritious foods that will nourish me and the baby. The beauty of Skinnytaste is that I get it all. Healthy family friendly meals that are delicious, nutritious and low in added fat and calories. July 4th Weekend

July 4th has always been a big holiday in my family. We gather, we eat, we celebrate and we revel in the sweetness of summer and all that it entails. Up in Utah July 4th marks the true, we don’t have to worry about frost or waking up to a late spring snowstorm, start of summer. This year was an especially hard, cold and snowy winter so we are truly grateful for the longer days filled with suntans and outdoor activities this July has brought us. Continue Reading
