Bringing in Beauty

I’m a proponent of bringing a bit of beauty into your space and have used bouquets of fresh flowers as a way of doing this for years now. I usually order just two bouquets for my house. One for my bedroom where I can wake up to it’s glory every morning and one in a common room for every one to enjoy. Rest Assured Indeed!

I first heard about the Owlet from a casual Pinterest search of baby nurseries I was indulging in long before Joshua Jr was even a thought in the Universe. I knew I wanted to expand our family and have more children I just didn’t know how or when that would happen; but, the not knowing didn’t stop me from planning and dreaming. She asked me for some direction on the decor and the vibe I was hoping for, so I headed straight to Pinterest to cultivate a look for the shower that spoke to not only the holidays, but also our mountain home in Utah where the baby will be born. I loved that my mom involved me and that I got to contribute my ideas. I’m kind of a control freak on occasion…ok more often than not, so getting to have a voice when it came to the shower was pretty awesome for me!Continue Reading

Heavenly Harvest Dinner

Katherine Heigl holding a fall accent plate

The accent plates, though fantastic, really needed to accompany dinner plates, so I had to buy some of those too. Then I realized I needed glassware to go with it all, and of course I needed napkins, placemats, and Oh silverware also…. OK I may have gotten a little carried away but I had so much fun mixing, matching and creating an original and beautiful table setting that I’m tempted to go back to the store and do something totally different for my Christmas dinner table!Continue Reading
