I’m always looking for new projects to embark on (despite the fact I’m rarely done with the project at hand!) and thought I’d share my favorite finds with you all. As soon as the weather finally turned towards the lovely summer temps I’ve been pining for, I put down my bulky yarn, giant needles and cozy blanket patterns so I could start looking for a lighter project that better suited the warmer weather. Not Your Granny’s Afghan

I’m always reaching for a cozy throw to toss on my lap during a movie or while lounging around with a good book. Of  course the softer and plusher the throw the better! I love the throws my Grandmother knit; however, they are all a bit scratchy and itchy. A result, I believe, of the times and a lack of variety of yarns that we now have to choose from. I decided to retire my Oma’s afghan  (not to worry it’s just on the end of my guest room bed  –  not in the trash) and knit up a version of my own using today’s luscious, cloud like yarns.Continue Reading

Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String

I love pretty packages, and I especially love receiving them! For two years I went all out in the Christmas wrapping department going so far as to make every gift under the tree coordinate, much to Josh’s annoyance.
