As I write this I am 19 weeks pregnant and now believe myself to be an expert on all things pregnancy. Therefore, I thought it only right that I share my hard gained wisdom with all of you presently, and planning to be, gestating ladies out there. I’m joking, I basically know nothing, but there are a few things that I have discovered during the last 19 weeks that have vastly improved my pregnancy experience. I thought that even if only a few of my discoveries were helpful to another pregnant gal I should for sure share them. Just like so many wonderful women have shared with me their tips, tricks and advice for getting through this experience with grace and good humor.Continue Reading
I’m a pretty avid reader and have been since I was about 11 years old. My mother and I used to travel from Connecticut into New York City on the Metro North train for auditions and modeling work. It was a 45 minute train ride and I would immerse myself in a good book to pass the time.Continue Reading
About a month before I found out I was pregnant I decided to turn the nursery into my craft room. I mean no one was using it right? Adalaide had moved out a year earlier and Josh and I weren’t planning to expand our family for at least another 6 months to a year so I figured why let the space just sit there empty and unused. Thankfully I did have the foresight not to make any big permanent changes so when baby boy Kelley arrives I can pretty easily convert the space back into a nursery. I’m always reaching for a cozy throw to toss on my lap during a movie or while lounging around with a good book. Of course the softer and plusher the throw the better! I love the throws my Grandmother knit; however, they are all a bit scratchy and itchy. A result, I believe, of the times and a lack of variety of yarns that we now have to choose from. I decided to retire my Oma’s afghan (not to worry it’s just on the end of my guest room bed – not in the trash) and knit up a version of my own using today’s luscious, cloud like yarns.Continue Reading

Our good friend Jeremy, who just happens to be an AV guy, mounted it on a moveable stand so that we could wheel the T.V down to the pool for truly indulgent summer days. Though the thought was there, we never actually followed through and hadn’t used the T.V once. We moved it inside during the winter months where it sat idly by waiting for it’s day in the sun. When the weather finally turned sunny and warm I decided to put our gift to good use and arranged our first ever outdoor family and friends movie night.Continue Reading
